Make-A-Wish Australia

Muffin Break joined the Wish Force, working collaboratively with Make-A-Wish to grant more and more wishes each year, so more seriously ill kids and teenagers can experience the healing power of a wish.

Muffin Break has always invested in the children of Australia, supporting kids charities for over three years including grass roots programs that help educate and nurture children. By October 2016 Muffin Break hopes to raise $500,000 for Aussie kids charities, currently the company has collected $397,000 and have a further $103,000 to reach target.

Gemma Fitzsimons, Muffin Break Marketing Manager, says, “We recognise the important role business partners play in helping Make-A-Wish in its mission. With a network of almost 220 franchise teams across the nation we hope to bolster the efforts of Make-A-Wish as part of a commitment to positively contribute to local communities and to kids around Australia.”

For over 30 years, Make-A-Wish has been the only charity in Australia solely focused on granting bespoke, life-changing wishes. The charity has worked tirelessly to make the cherished wishes of over 8,000 children and teenagers battling life-threatening medical conditions come true. Believing in the healing power of a wish, Make-A-Wish gives children much needed hope for the future, strength to face the challenges of their illness, and joy from their incredible wish experience.

Kye Gillies, Head of Business Partnerships at Make-A-Wish said, “As an organisation funded solely by donations, the incredible support of our business partners is vital to our success. Our alignment with Muffin Break is particularly special due to its strong focus on family and community.”

Funds will be raised via on-counter donation collection boxes within its network of almost 220 franchise stores throughout Australia. All funds donated to Make-A-Wish Australia solely benefit the charity’s cause and the children they work with. The partnership between Muffin Break and Make-A-Wish Australia formally commences 29th April 2016.
